Marathon update...

"Our sport is your sport's punishment." - Runner's Edge of the Rockies bumper sticker

I'm sure this is boring to the rest of the world, but whatever. I ran 8 miles on Saturday. I felt pretty good...except for the fact that I drank gatorade right before mile 7 and had to walk it off while it absorbed in my system since i'm not used to drinking it during a run. Its good to get used to it though, because you definitely need more than just water to make it through 26.2 miles.

New Balance just put up a new Web site that has a video of the Chicago marathon course...its a runner's view sped up. It took like 15 minutes to watch it...I don't even want to think about the 5 hours or so it'll take to run it! The good news...no hills!

Next Saturday is 10 miles. The next time I'll run on a Saturday for less than 10 miles is right before the marathon in the "taper" phase. EEK! This week I do 3 miles Monday, 5 miles Tuesday and 4 miles Thursday. Everytime I look at my schedule I freak out a little...
