Today, on my way down to the 'Ranch to spend Memorial Day with the parentals, I encountered direct contradictions to the dire news you hear each and every day.
Lines galore at Kohls as I tried to return something...lines galore at the Shell station as I tried to top the tank of the Prius off (and this station has at least 8-10 pumps)...and lines galore at the movie theatre ($7.75/ticket + $10 for popcorn). No matter what the polls say, I find it hard to believe that most people in mainstream america are truly "limiting" their driving or extracuricular activities because of the "recession" and "fuel crisis" and until we do something about it, I doubt very much things (ie gas prices) will change. I'm guilty of all of the above myself so I'm not preaching, just observing.
On a side note, it's 50 degrees in Colorado. Isn't today supposed to mark the start of summer?
