Fanny packs? Really?

My dad blogged about this article today. I would be more vocal in how assanine I think conventions are, except for at this DNC we're nominating Obama to be the next POTUS so I choose to restrain myself...a bit. This green thing though is a little out of control, especially considering as a citizen who lives and works within a few miles of the madness, there has been very little actually done about the logistics of this event...instead, the committee is focusing on pretty plates of food and organic fanny packs (no seriously...i'd never volunteer if i had to wear a fanny pack...organic, union or otherwise). Don't get me wrong...I'm pro-environment...but I'm a realistic pro-environment person.

Anyway, expect some politics to resume on the 'ol blog as my local Obama peeps are getting back together again this weekend. All across the country people are hosting house parties to get back in the campaign groove and ensure an Obama presidency...a year ago from that same day we did a walk for change around neighborhoods introducing folks to Barack Obama...what a difference a year makes.
