O-WHO?

Texas is currently ranked #1 in the polls for the first time since 1984!!!!!! Now, even though we won a national championship in 2005, we didn't make it to #1 in the polls until AFTER we beat USC because, as my friend Rodney Dangerfield often says, "We can't get no respect!"

Well, ya'll better RESPECT that amazing victory over OU yesterday. It's the best I've seen Texas play in a long, long time. The team played like, well, a team...and that is how they won. Colt McCoy had some good grit and determination, driving down field to answer OU's touchdowns. We were "behind" for most of the game, but emerged victorious 45-35. I watched from JW2's couch in Cheyenne...I think I left a permanent dent in their couch, actually...and it was fun introducing Kift to watching football with a crazy person (me).

So, with that said...HOOK 'EM HORNS! If we keep winning, we could be heading to Miami for the national championship. I asked my Wyoming friends how they would feel if Texas came to town next year as "defending national champions" and I don't think I really got an answer!
