This deserves more than a tweet...

"It's a dangerous road, but we have no choice," a top McCain strategist told the Daily News. "If we keep talking about the economic crisis, we're going to lose."

To prove their new "character attack is our only way to win" strategy over the weekend, Sarah Palin campaigned around this country attacking Barack Obama for "palling around with a terrorist."  These attacks, and references to Obama's so-called "bff-ness" with William Ayers is down right insulting to the American people.  And then, their surrogates go around and in a blind attempt to scare the American people, continually reference Barack Obama's middle name.

We have SERIOUS problems (In case McCain missed it - the DOW has dropped below 10,000 for the first time since 2004) in this country and we need a SERIOUS leader.  One who isn't afraid to talk about the issues.

Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words. Obama's past affiliations are scary.

Sure isn't a lot of substantive "talk" coming out of the Straight Talk Express...or action for that matter.

As for Obama's "past affiliations," this has all been played out in the past 20 months...bringing it up again is desperate and the truth has long been been revealed to the American people who care more about substantive issues that this BS.

Some truths about his Ayers "affiliation:"

Now that they've opened the door to past affiliations, let's talk about McCain's:

Even CNN (AKA Communist News Network/We love Obama Network) on Campbell Brown's show LAST night spoke about the Keating thing. Yes, he (McCain) MAY have had questionnable judgement, but they did say the Obama spin on the whole situation is TWISTED. If you look at the FACTS you will see a different story.

I do care about Obama's ties. There are several people in his past (not just Ayers) that are very questionnable. It has been brough up again because it IS important to millions of people. Just because it doesn't bother you (which it should) doesn't mean it doesn't bother a lot of people. The beliefs of his past ties are beliefs that I don't want a President to be involved in.

BTW - all Congress has done is talk and look where it has gotten us. The bailout bill is a blowout. BTW - Obama is also a Senator. Blaming Bush for this mess isn't all fair. This started long before Bush came into office and Obama is a sitting Senator (one of the most powerful positions in the world). He can TALK all he wants. I want action ---

Going back to the original meaning of my post is that the McCain camp refuses to talk (or act) on the issues at hand and have instead turned this into a character debate. And don't tell me that Obama's ties "need" to bother me...I've done my research and made my decision...thanks though.

McCain sure was a good senator when he "suspended his campaign" to go solve this bailout mess...and look where that got us. If that's the type of action you are looking for, here's to a great next 4 years in which nothing gets done. Just saying you are going to "take action" dosen't actually mean you do anything. I'm able to recognize, however, that both McCain and Obama are just 2 percent of the Senate and its the body as a whole in which decisions are made and this decision was made by the Senate leadership on both sides of the aisle and Obama and McCain both had very little impact on the end result...and I'm sorry, but the Bush administration DOES deserve some of the blame, as does Congress, as does the House and as do the American people.
