Where my Horns at?

Well, this week they were just up the road in Boulder! Woo hoo! I didn't see my Horns live and in color last year, the first year since I left UT, so this game encounter was much needed.

I spent Friday night with Julie and Jamie in Boulder...we dined at Mammacita's in Boulder (yummmm!) before heading to the Texas Exes event at the Foundry, where I had a brief encounter with a 50+-year-old woman who decided to tell me to "Go Back to Texas!" to which I politely (or was it sarcastically?) responded that "I live here, thanks though." On the way back to the car we encountered a fun costume shop...

CU fans were of course obnoxious, although our experience with most of the people sitting around us was good....except for the guy who asked my dad to "sit down." Uh, isn't this a football game? Overall though, I've just determined that being a CU fan means you are more concerned with talking trash and booing the other team than cheering and being supportive of your own team...and that is just classless.

Final score? Texas 35-CU 14. After singing the "Eyes of Texas" the tons of Texas fans who "Stayed Late" proceeded with chanting "Beat OU! Beat OU!" OU weekend is next weekend...both are top 5 teams...the team who wins could go all the way...this game is always high stakes, but this year, the stakes are HIGH! Hook 'em!
