Why? Because, while most (including myself) were quick to blame the BCS (which, trust me, shoulders a significant chunk of the blame), it was really the Big 12 conference that screwed Texas. Their assanine rules, which should obviously be modeled after other conferences instead of the crap they come up with (even the Big 12 head honcho admitted to such yesterday), left Texas on the outside looking in on a Big 12 championship game featuring not one, but TWO teams they have already beaten this year, thus pretty much dashing their hopes at heading back to the national championship game. Forget the crapola about a three-way tie...Tech lost the love when they lost to OU. This came down to two teams, and my beloved Longhorns were the victors back in October on a neutral field over the idiots from Oklahoma.
So anyway, it's looking like a Fiesta for the Longhorns, which any other season would have been FABULOUS...and I've said it before, but I'll say it again. I know Obama has A LOT of stuff on his plate (the economy, terrorists, dealing with Hillary Clinton's husband now that she is a cabinet member) but I really hope he carves some time for a little pet project I like to call: Hope for a college football playoff.
