I had a birthday last week...the big 26. Fun! I didn't do much, as I typically don't do much for my birthday...to many high expectations...but I enjoyed dinner with my parents and some AWESOME presents. My parents really hooked me up this year, apparently all of that whining that I don't live in a duel income household has worked. Some stuff is fun stuff (printer! TMX elmo!) other was necessary (vacuum) and others, a combo of both (grill!).I've continued home improvement month(s) as I near my 1-year home ownership anniversary. I got a screen door, tried to kill some of the grass in my front yard and managed to plant some flowers and start building the flower bed in my backyard. I still have some work to do on the back but alas, the funds have run out this month, so finishing touches can take place in june. I got these really awesome recycled metal flowers at the Art Walk a few weeks ago and they make a wonderful landscaping addition...I might have to go get more. I'll soon be updating pictures here.
