Snippets from Savannah

Had a great time in Savannah last weekend...here are a few random snippets from the weekend:

Some family portraits...

Matthew spit up as we were taking this picture...

Food (chicken): Ate at the original Chick-fil-A (which was originally called the Dwarf House, which is weird), had chicken fingers at Spanky's on Tybee Island which is home to the original chicken finger and celebrated Mother's Day with Paula Dean's fried chicken. Must diet.

The Chick-fil-A Dwarf House...complete with restaurant seating and a dwarf door!

Paula Dean's Buffet...looks kind of gross but it was kind of good!

Weather: Humid

Morgan: Morgan is addicted to "lip stuff" (aka Burt's Bees) and frequently asked for Mimi's purse so she could have more "lip stuff" or get some "moneys." I guess I know what I'm good for now!

Mimi! I need some lip stuff!

Matthew: Usually cried when I held him...but I'll get over it.

Really, Mimi? Really?

Teaching Matthew the art of the self portrait...

Apparently he needs a bib that says "Mimi Rocks!"

Just had to throw this picture in of my sister sleeping in the car...

27th Birthday: Champagne and fondu at Lulu's Chocolate Bar...yum.

City/History: Lots of dead people buried in random places (walls, under buildings, etc.). Great architecture. Saw where Forest Gump sat on the bench to tell his stories. Revolutionary and Civil War craziness abound. All of the 20+ "squares" were originally designed to help them in battle. Open container law. Kind of want to go to the Savannah College of Art and Design. All and all a beautiful city.

Morgan was a little nervous when we started our carriage ride...
Can you spot the Texas flag?

A ghosty pic from the ghost tour...

House: Stayed in a big old Victorian house in the historic district near Forsyth Park (where we discovered a secret garden and Morgan made wishes for M&M's in the fountain with Mimi's "moneys"). It was nice having my own room which for the single member of the family, pretty much never happens. My relatives think it had too much Ikea but I think they are wrong!

Fire place in my room!

Secret garden

I love exploring new cities! I've posted some of my favorite pictures in this post, but my full "collection" can be viewed here. I'd say the new camera worked famously!
