Last night a HUGE thunderboomer mushroomed above Denver...I was leaving Safeway and saw a bunch of folks taking cell phone pictures, thought "What tha?" and looked up...it was indeed an amazing feat of weather. The sun was hitting the clouds and there was a distinct layer of rainy blue, bright pink and then the white cloud blossoms. On the way home, I saw hundreds of people stopping to photograph the clouds! It was definitely "pull over to the side of the road" spectacular.
I did manage to take a pic with my cell phone (above) and here are some reader photos from around the area...and while the pictures don't do it justice, I just had to share.

Ohhh...we saw these too and they were amazing!! We were hoping to not get caught in the storm on the way back from the store...little did we know it would be a few hours before the rain and even more before the crazy hail!
