Sexist? Really?

I'm trying to keep my political commentary to little tweets as to avoid a full on political barrage on the blog, but all of this talk that the media coverage of Sarah Palin is sexist is driving me crazy...and I'm a woman. Now granted, I think some of the questions about her not being able to be a mother and VP candidate at the same time would never be asked of a male candidate, but the rest of the questions that the media asking aren't just being asked by the media, they are also questions regular 'ol citizens of this country want answers to...like, I don't know, who the heck are you Sarah Palin?

Now, for all of those people who say Obama supporters "drink the kool-aid" I think it's time to admit the Republicans mixed up their own batch of kool-aid this week and ya'll are chugging that stuff down like freshman at a frat party.

PS - I'm not going to post the image here because yes, I agree, Bristol Palin deserves a break...but if you want google "Bristol Palin Juneau Poster" I'm sorry, but that's some clever stuff.

Let's be clear here - Palin has not once said the media is sexist. She has demonostrated she is a strong, intelligent, capable, PERSON (regardless of gender) who will not take it from anyone. She can take it and she can dish it. Also, being a working mom with two children myself, it is sexist when you are doubted because you are a mother and you are treated like you are not taking care of your children. Both Michelle and Obama work full time, but alas, no controversy.

No - the poster/jokes/mocking about her daughter is not funny. When you have children, you will understand how you want to keep them in a bubble and protect them. It isn't fair and the media should allow her daughter to deal with this matter privately. Yes - her daughter is pregnant. The world needs to move on.

Let's be clear that my post agrees with the first two paragraphs of the above comments (i never said she said it was sexist (although McCain's people did) and also agreed that it would never be asked about a male candidate for president), and i never said funny, i said clever...
