Adventures in Resolutions, Part 2

Well, tonight I decided to make myself a batch of tortilla soup (from a mix, but still) so I could eat some, freeze some and all would be well. I even added chicken and fresh avocado to the soup, so I consider this "cooking."

What was my reward? Well, while cleaning up afterward, I looked over to see water in places it shouldn't be, streaming from my water heater closet. Yep, there appears to be food in that water. Yep, it must be backing up from my kitchen sink.

You see, if you eat out, order in or just heat up a frozen treasure, you don't HAVE to involve the kitchen sink or garbage disposal, everything just goes straight to the trash.

Anyone seen any good deals on bath towels lately? Looks like I'll be using my 20% coupon at Kohls for more than just inaugural pantyhose. Argh. Two snaked pipes and one replacement piece for the water heater (that was just a bonus leak/drip that we noticed thanks to the other problems) and that is about $600 less that I have to spend in DC or Italy, but more likely, it means the dreaded "credit card debt" that is so faux pas these days...don't tell Suze Orman.
