26.2 Magnificent Miles

Well, after weeks of waiting...the NFL schedule FINALLY came out today. Why, might you ask, do I care so much (afterall, I'm admittedly crazy about college football, but am kind of neutral about the NFL). There is a little event called Drive for Life that basically runs/ruins my life each October, the date of which is determined by the NFL schedule.

So, Drive for Life is on October 2 (which is early...eek!) which means that I have officially signed up to run the Chicago Marathon on October 9 with the bro-in-law and 45,000 of my closest friends. Chicago is also the last "big" city on my list of American cities I really want to visit and it looks like we're loading up the fam and making a trip out of it (and you can bet your bottom dollar that I'll be creating t-shirts for them to wear on race day).

In other NFL scheduling news, Vince Young and the Tennessee Titans are coming to my fair city to play the Broncos on Monday Night Football on November 19. I heart VY. VY 'till I die. Call me if you have tickets.

So, friends, wish me luck as I embark on the preparation training for training for a marathon (prep. training April - early June, and then 18 weeks of fun fun fun!). Oh, and Oprah, if you're reading this (and why wouldn't you be?), can you hook me up with tickets to your show? Preferably the one in which I get something free? Too bad Morgan is still a little young, or Morgan and Mimi would totally rock the American Girl Place...their girl of the year doll is Nicky from Colorado afterall!
