The good day that wasn't...but might turn out ok.

Well friends...today is the day that was going to be a GOOD (might I say FABULOUSLY FANTASTIC) day. I was going to put on my cowboy boots to see my ex-boyfriend (who would still be my boyfriend had he not acted so silly) Rob Thomas kick off Frontier Nights up in Cheyenne. I was sure this would be the venue he'd cover Mama's don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys one of the best Rob Thomas covers out there. But no. Rodeos are bad. Let it be known, however, that he's still performing at the North Dakota State Fair tomorrow (news flash, Clay Walker is performing the day after MB20...is it too late to drive to North Dakota? Who is with me? We can take the hybrid!)...alas, my heart is still a wee bit broken.

Turns out though that today will still be a good day. It's my last day at work (oh yeah, did I forget to mention I'm starting a new job next week?) and I'm celebrating my last days downtown by eating street vendor food for most of the day, including waffles (which were amazing), hot dogs or cheesesteaks for lunch, cookie lady for dessert and then (besides probably getting sick)...because life is so cyclical...having happy hour at Osteria Marco which is the restaurant Rob Thomas recommended to me back when I met him in March. It won't be the same without you Rob.
